The Rising Stars Team ( WA’s PREMIER AFL ACADEMY) are very excited to inform you that we are on the search for players who are serious about their football and have the discipline and the determination to be the best they can be. The AFL and articles in The West Australian have emphasized the importance of improving player standards with a focus on players aged 8-15, as this age group is at a crucial development stage. Rising Stars is committed to working with and complementing the Western Australian Football Commission pathways and to improve the talent and skills of our future stars. Rising Stars AFL coaches have proven success at WA State Football level and as a consequence we have a thorough awareness of what best practice looks like at an elite junior level in Australia.
Our specialist coaching and mentoring network provides individual footballers with the skills and knowledge to work towards selection in State teams, development squads or the Rising Stars Elite Next Generation Programs.

Stars AFL Football Clinic - April School Holidays
Starting – 15 April, 2025
Finishing – 16 April 2025
Running – 2 Day Clinic (Thursday and Friday) 9.30 – 12.30pm.
Cost – $140
Venue – Henderson Oval, Wembley 2025

Sunday afternoon - Elite Program Athlete's who have made WA State Teams, WAFL Development Squads or an Outstanding Club player (Please see Eligibility below) can enrol in our Year 2 - 5 Next Generation. Please go to Boys Program page for more information.

Programs have been designed to ensure all athletes are exposed to modern football techniques and drills which significantly help in their player development in wanting to make WA State Teams, Development Squads or our Elite Next Generation program.

STAGE 1 (Term 1) – The PRE-season program (8 WEEKS)- Be Prepared for all Opponents!
STAGE 2 (Term 4) – The Post PRE-season program (8 WEEKS)- Get Ahead of the Rest!
The Rising Stars key component is to bring out the “special part of every child’s true talent and to maximise his potential as a player” = Be the best they can be. We provide relevant training and education to assist players to learn, improve, challenge, execute and ultimately be recognized. We will provide players with quality coaches and mentors within a high performance training facility.
Eligibility
The 2024 intake will be for junior footballers who:
Have been selected in their local development squads or other relevant representative team - State
Have been identified and nominated by a teacher or Rising Stars Coach
Have been nominated by club and/or coach
